Motivated novice crew looking for transatlantic trip
Hello,
My name is Ryan, I am 26 years old and I live in Geneva in Switzerland. My desire to discover new horizons brings me to leave my city soon to do a bike trip. My project is to join South America, experiment my Spanish and pedal from north to south of the western part of the continent. My dream would be to cross the Atlantic Ocean by boat, for two reasons: the experience of sailing on the ocean and avoiding the plane with the intention to make the journey as gentle as possible for the environment.
I am someone close to nature, environment and life outside. For these reasons, I studied horticulture and agronomy and worked for three years in a organic farm where I produced vegetables. I am good living, easy going, serious, rigorous, listening and I adapt easily to the situations and events of everyday life. My nautical experience is small, I only had the opportunity to sail out on a lake. But my thirst for learning is great and I would be delighted and very motivated to be able to learn the basics of sailing during the crossing of the Atlantic.
I speak French, English and I learn Spanish. I am very comfortable to cooking, for manual activities and I am in good physical shape.
My project is to take part in the crossing of the Atlantic, my bike and me, between november and december. I am flexible on the place of departure (France, Spain, Canary Islands, depending on the possibilities) and on the place of arrival between the West Indies or the continent of South America.
