Look to sail the last of the summer
2016 completed 6 glorious weeks sailing around the beautiful islands of Fiji.
2 weeks were on the tall ship JST Tenacious as part of a 50 strong crew including wheelchair users and other members with varying disabilities followed by joining a 100ft schooner to explore the smaller islands in the north west of the group.
After that I spent a week helping with maintenance on a 44ft Sloop in Palma Majorca then crossed to Ibiza to join a beautiful Rapide catamaran to assist with a delivery from Ibiza to Portugal - was supposed to be all the way to UK but picked up an eye injury and had to jump ship in Cascais (but had a fantastic time discovering Portugal so not all bad!)
2017 was an interesting season - started with assisting on a delivery from Lagos Portugal to Cyprus but got as far as Majorca where the owner had a blow up and kicked all the crew off after finding cheap berthing for the rest of the season.
Met another owner and to cut a long story very short assisted him taking his custom built classic from Palma to St Tropez for the classic Voilles racing, which I crewed on and then helping him bring it back to Palma - a fantastic trip and experience
I am confident on the helm and with rigging, setting, trimming, comms and nav and night watches
No formal RYA but more than a keen amateur.
Told good company with a good sense of humor and work ethic.
Not afraid of the scubbing brush and useful in the galley as well
