Mark Bromhead.
During my 30 years of experience in the yachting industry, I’ve logged over 100,000 sea miles as captain on a wide variety of both power and sailing vessels. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges of operating and managing a vessel in a competent and professional manner and I am currently looking for a captain’s position on either a power or sailing yacht with an interesting cruising itinerary.
I have captained vessels around the coasts of western Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, both the east and west coasts of the USA, Mexico, Central America and Thailand and have made five transatlantic crossings and one Panama Canal transit.
After operating yachts in the Mediterranean for 18 years, I possess a broad knowledge of the popular cruising areas and anchorages. Having worked as captain/engineer on several vessels, I’m able to maintain and carry out running repairs to onboard systems. I also have considerable experience with shipyard operations, having managed while captain, the refit of a 33m motor-sailor in the USA, as well as dealing with various warranty claims on several different yachts.
I have extensive charter experience in the Caribbean, the Bahamas and the Mediterranean and I’m very safety-orientated and pay particular attention to detail. I’m looking forward to joining my next yacht and providing the owner and guests with the highest possible standards of service, along with a safe and enjoyable yachting experience.
