seeking more sailing experience
I first sailed in 1994 during my apprenticeship for a Navy Officer in the German Navy.
The Navy sailing and powerboat qualifications were a must for all candidates. At that time we already got theory lessons on tidals and even the sextant. A further plus was the (at that time) most developed simulator for big merchants and military ships as e.g. Frigates.
After leaving the Forces in 2006 I still kept up my knowledge by chartering sailing boats, Mono- and Multihulls and taking a Catamaran Skipper Training.
I further wanted to proof my knowledge by a worldwide accepted maritime license, which I think is the RYA scheme.
Therefor I took RYA courses in July 2015 and hold the following certificates so far:
- RYA Coastal Skipper
- RYA VHF GMDSS
- RYA First Aid
- RYA Yachtmaster Theory
- German Powerboat Advanced
In 2017 I will take the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore. Because I did Astro-Nav while flying in the Navy I am very interested in it and want to take the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean end of 2017.
Just did a delivery of a Lagoon 52...GREAT!
I am German, nice, intelligent and humor personalitiy who gets along with just everybody and knows manners and how to behave.
Looking Forward to get some mails :-)
