Captain
I have been involved in the yachting industry professionally for thirty years on various types of vessels ranging from 60m three masted schooners to maxi racing yachts, large motor yachts to ultra fast tenders. During this time I have gained a great deal of experience in the running of different classes of yacht as well as the management and administration that has become such a major part of the industry today.
In the course of my career I have logged more than 300,000 nautical miles at sea including two circumnavigations as well as twelve Atlantic crossings, north and south, seasonal moves and many, many deliveries. These experiences have given me an excellent knowledge of the world’s most popular cruising areas as well as some of the more exotic places.
During my career I have gained a large proportion of my technical experience from overseeing various refits and new builds on the behalf of owners. This has provided me with an excellent understanding of the various systems and technical equipment that can be found on a modern luxury yacht, which allows me to work closely with design, yacht management and project management companies. With my experience I am confident to be able to communicate and coordinate with the different contractors, managers and consultants involved with any major or minor work project.
I am now looking to further my career in the industry by moving to a larger yacht or a position with greater responsibilities. I believe with my experience, I will be able to bring a great deal of knowledge and practical know how to any position I attain.
