Experienced, young sailor looking for sailing opportunities in The Pacific NorthWest / BC coast
Currently working as a marine surveyor for recreational boats in the Pacific NW. Based in Bellingham, WA.
I have my own boat that is for sale at the moment in Fiji. A Norseman 447. I have a USCG 200T masters license with sailing and towing endorsements. I've sailed over 50,000nm including two pacific ocean crossings and one atlantic ocean crossing. I've worked as captain, engineer, and first officer on sailing yachts from 60-170ft.
Over a year ago my Kelly Peterson 44 was hit by a whale while we were sailing from the Galapagos to French Polynesia. The boat sank in 15-20 minutes, we were 1300nm from land. You can read the Yachting World Magazine article here:

I'm pretty new to the PNW area, and other than sea trials when surveying boats I haven't done much actual sailing / cruising and would love to meet some like minded sailors, connect, and get on the water. I'm keen to travel anywhere in the area.
It's strange for me to be in a position as crew on here! I've always been the one looking for crew haha. Talk soon.
