SY Margaret Ann --- Chief Officer and engineer on a 29m charter sailing yacht. Responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of any faults related to all systems on board including a 234kW engine, two 25 kW generators, watermaker, air-conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems. Duties also included assisting the captain in the safe navigation of the vessel and supervision of a team of 2 in the performance of all deck tasks including anchoring, moorings, sail operations and cleaning.

Our Rose - Instructor --- Own boat tuition on board a 44ft catamaran cruising between Langkawi, Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand. Teaching the owners the navigational, sailing and seamanship skills needed for safe coastal cruising as well as basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

Ocean Youth Trust Scotland --- Part of the team performing winter maintenance and refit on a Challenge 72, ocean racing yacht. Derigging the yacht and performing plumbing, mechanical and electrical work including rewiring and installing a new lighting circuit.

Sunsail/ The Moorings --- Two seasons as skipper on a variety of catamarans and monohulls from 40ft to 50ft taking guests on cruises around the north Ionian. Responsible for all aspects of chartering including provisioning, passage planning, safety and technical briefings, night passages and technical maintenance during charter. Assisting technicians in the maintenance of 29 yachts and responsible for rigging and maintaining the sails and running rigging on all sailing yachts in the fleet.

Ocean Youth Trust Scotland - Watchleader --- Various voyages sailing on the west coast of Scotland leading a watch in preforming all deck operations including sail handling, mooring and anchoring. Also responsible for adherence to safety procedures as well as navigation, passage planning and watchkeeping. Coaching and teaching young adults within the program in all aspects of life on board on a 72ft ocean racing yacht and a 70ft sailing training yacht.

Volunteer search and rescue team - 1st mate --- Assisted skipper in the delivery of 45ft sailing yacht from Athens (Greece) to Chios (Eastern Aegean) and in day and night missions around the island of Chios.

Member of the oxford university yacht racing team participating in inshore and offshore races up to 500nm. Skipper for cruising trips as well as inshore races. Captain of the yacht racing team responsible for recruiting a team, organising a training schedule and the continued excellent performance of the team.

Gordonstoun International Summer School - 1st Mate, Seasonal --- 1st mate on a variety of 40ft to 45ft monohull sailing yachts. Providing skipper support during cruises within the Inner Hebrides on the west coast of Scotland. Looking after the welfare and safety of children aged 6 to 16. Head Mate from 2016 coordinating the 6 to 11 other Mates in the fleet.

Ocean Spirit of Moray - Watchleader --- Leading a watch on an 80ft sail training yacht during the passage from Scotland to Svalbard and two-week cruise in the Arctic.
