Experienced
I grew up sailing with my parents every weekend and vacation on lakes in Switzerland. I would go back sailing every now and then as an adult, never forgetting my dream to one day sail across the Atlantic.
Past season I took care of a Bordeaux 60 that is based in the Med. I was a chef and deckhand.
Last year I crossed the Atlantic from Guadeloupe to Valencia, Spain on a beautiful SWS 72.
I have my ASA 101,103 and 104 certifications and have a lot of experience as a deckhand, watch keeper, hostess and cook.
Among other voyages, I sailed in the Bahamas on an Amel 54, from Antigua to Grenada on an Island Packet, around the BVI's on a 42 foot Catamaran, and another trip in the West Indies on an SWS 72. The winter season 2016/17 I spent aboard a 85 foot yacht in Puerto Rico and the BVI.
I live in Michigan, have two grown children and therefore have more time to follow other things in life.
I'm pretty adventurous and have travelled quite a lot. One trip took me around the world on trains and one around the US in a small RV. I used to walk up mountains on skies or hiked/climbed them during the summer.
I'm fluent in English, German and French and know some Spanish and Italian.
I'm a creative cook and can produce delicious meals with whatever is available.
