Skipper/1st mate looking for deliveries or expeditions
Motivated, responsible and organised professional looking for a position as a skipper or first mate for deliveries or expeditions. I hold RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and STWC95.
Safety and security are always first. Fun and lively person always making the most of opportunities. Challenge and adventure are in my top list. I have been in the industry for 5 years sailing in the Mediterranean, Caribbean sea, Golf of Viscay, English Channel, 3 Atlantic crossings, 2 East-West and 1 West-East.
I generally join long passages as a crew member (2-3 week passages) or I organize my own by renting a sailboat as a captain to be able to explore hard to reach places I still don't know.
Ambitious, dedicated and hard working, I have a sailing blog approaching sailing from a personal and subjective point of view, inviting people to understand oceans and cruising lifestyle (www.allende-losmares.com) writing articles and creating videos (Youtube channel: Allende los mares). With this channel, it makes very easy to find either crew for deliveries or clients for charters, +25000 followers.
In addition to my previous yachting experience, I studied architecture. I believe that my knowledge about several programs, social network, website design and my sense in organisation contribute to my suitability for a position helping to develop a private project with brochures, websites, management or video edition.
I really like challenges and I'm looking for a great opportunity to continue learning and developing my career, finding extremely appealing expedition sailing voyages.
CEO of the project "CAP", together with Diego de Miguel. The first celestial navigation competition. 600 miles, from Cadiz to Lanzarote, ocean passage only with a sextant competing in a flotilla to see which sailboat is the best one calculating its position. 2nd edition october 2019.
I love both mountain and sea sports, such as running, bicycling, climbing, fishing, swimming, diving, kayaking, kitesurfing,... Although I am very sportive, one of passions are also reading and writing.
I speak spanish, english, catalan, portuguese and basic french. I don't smoke and take care about alimentation, I prefer eating healthy food rather than trash food.
When I discover the cruising lifestyle I found fascinating the fact of being self-sufficient with no dependence of freshwater and electricity and depending almost only on your own knowledge and instinct, always in contact with nature and having the opportunity to travel to places you could not reach otherwise. Passionate about the exploration and adventure voyages, I am greatly charmed with the cruising lifestyle.
