Experienced Mate seeking new vessel
Having just finished working as Mate for a year on a busy 30m motoryacht after working as lead deckhand on a 29m expedition motoryacht for 9 months I feel ready for a new challenge. In my last two roles my main responsibilities have been solo navigational watches, keeping the exterior of the yacht in pristine condition, sharing engineering duties with the captain, ensuring guests and crew were safe at all times, tender runs and taking guests on hiking and snorkelling trips.
Prior to this I worked for 18 months as a mate/engineer on a 24m sailing yacht based in Monaco and only left the vessel as it was laid up to be sold. I was involved with every aspect of the boats running and maintenance at all times. In port I was often the sole person onboard and therefore have been responsible for ensuring that the boats regular maintenance and cleaning was completed and that any problems that arose were dealt with immediately, so that the boat was ready to depart at a moments notice.
I’m now seeking a new challenge. I worked closely with the owners whole family, their friends and various crew and am always a well liked, hard working, diligent and personable crew member. I can work we’ll both in a team or on my own, maintaining extremely high standards at all times.
