DAVID PATE
I am an MCA Ocean Yacht master with commercial endorsement and qualified Yacht & small craft surveyor with new build experience. I have over 15 years practical experience on various vessels, sail and power prior to which my shore based background was in Hospitality Catering & Business management.
I have gained my sailing experience on vessels up to 24m in Europe, USA and the Caribbean including trans-Atlantic. I have extensive delivery, private & charter experience and have captained and managed yachts for live aboard and absentee owners. I possess a strong working knowledge of on board mechanical navigational & domestic systems. Qualified as a yacht & small craft surveyor I am also well versed in aspects of yacht construction, warranty management, problem solving and scheduled day to day maintenance requirements on board a vessel. As an employee & crew member I am calm, adaptable and conscientious, with an eye for detail and I work well at all levels within the industry. Above all I achieve high standards of operation whilst maintaining a balanced, enjoyable and safe workplace environment.
