Looking for some sailors to show us the ropes
My girlfriend Laura (27) and I (29) cancelled our apartment in Cologne last year and decided to travel the world. Laura graduated from university last year, while I am technically still a student in Cologne obtaining a Sport Management degree (The only thing standing in between me and the degree is the thesis). We're both very openminded, love being outdoors (in particular hiking), and eating. During our travels we often use couchsurfing and hichhiking to get to know people. Moreover, we're both certified Scuba Divers (Laura is a Padi Open Water Diver and I'm a CMAS**, which is somewhere in between advanced open water diver and rescue diver). We've known each other for almost 8 years and have been together for 3 years. We're okay with hanging out 24/7 with each other ;).
During our first part of the trip we travelled to Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, South Africa, Morocco, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Albania and Croatia. Our next trip will be to Saigon (02.09), mostly as the flights were quite cheap. We haven't made any plans yet regarding what we want to do and where we want to head. On our last trip we had some weddings which we had to attend, but this time we're free as birds and can simply go with the flow. We kind of have a list of countries for our next trip in between Vietnam and Germany we'd like to visit, but that list just keeps getting longer and longer.
Though we both don’t have any previous sailing experiences, we’re eager to learn and help wherever we can.
