Kiwi Guy Looking for a Novice Crew
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as an Amateur Crew.
A bit about me:
37yo Kiwi in Palmerston North, NZ. I play guitar, into hunting, love snorkeling, strong kayaker, fit, healthy, good bush skills and a techy engineer that can fix anything. Also into all things engineering - especially robotics, electronics and building stuff. Love my red wine, good company and conversation. I'm a team player (ex army), eat anything (except carbs now) share everything and not opposed to hard jobs. Keen to give free-diving a go and want to do my scuba tickets.
Just after a fun time, adventure and make some more genuine friends. Keen to get more time up sailing and get my own yacht soon.
As far as sailing experience, I don't have much time up but I've learnt fast. Already had good navigation and mapping skills from the military. I've done 3 nights coastal sailing in rough conditions in a 25ft plus quite a few day trips. I have my day-skippers and I'm part way through my boatmasters.
Cheers,
Sam Hadley-Jones.
