Looking for a Novice Crew position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. We are interested in finding a position as an Amateur Crew. We're looking forward to meeting some new people! I am also an experienced mechanic with many years working on construction plant (Perkins engines and pumps etc) as well as motor vehicles, and some experience of inshore marine engines. I also have excellent knowledge (including caravans and motorhomes etc) of electrical systems, including fault finding/diagnostics. Depending on location I can provide my own high quality tools and diagnostic equipment. I also trained as a marine engineer with the Royal Navy in 1978. I have virtually no sailing experience but have watched sailing many times. My partner and I are looking toward buying a boat and living aboard in the Med, so would like to gain some experience before taking the plunge. We are both semi retired/gap year adults so are available at short notice or anytime within reason.
