Ready to embark as professional or competent Crew
Hi everybody!
I´m Manuel. I´ve already crossed the Atlantic. Skills on maintenance both deck and interior (facilities, electricity and engines), experienced in coastal navigation and capable of doing night watches alone. I am happy to share all roles onboard, take part in the organization and of course get ready tasty dishes too. In addition, contributing with my previous professional background as a filmmaker and photographer to immortalize our journeys.
One year and a half ago I started full-time dedication to my sailing career. I was working hard and I already get my Offshore Sailing License, STCW, Frist-aid training course, Seafarer´s Identity, Open Water Diving,.. as well as one Atlantic Crossing, several boats refitted over my shoulders and many hours of coastal sailing all around Spain and the Canary Islands. I learn fast and I love well done work as a good organization and a pleasant working atmosphere. With my experience in hospitality I gain knowledge in administration and maintenance, as a cook for groups of people. I like to be in a tidy and clean space, but after several miles sailing in a number of crews and different conditions I learnt to deal with a small quantity of clutter.
I speak English both written and spoken. Because of my mother language, Galician, I am competent in Portuguese.
Adventurous and with great adaptability, I traveled by car throughout Central America and Mexico as a Spanish-English interpreter in addition to recording and photographing the trip as part of my work.
I´ve discovered in sailing everything that I was searching for years inland... I look forward to hearing from you to start the sailing!
