Traveling the world and looking for sailing opportunities
My husband and I reside on our catamaran for part of the year. He possesses 12 years of solo sailing experience and works as a mechanic, though he is not actively seeking employment at this time. On the other hand, I am in search of seasonal or rotational paid positions and am open to opportunities that may require us to be apart for certain periods.
Professionally, I have amassed extensive experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in luxury and Michelin-Starred establishments, serving as a Sommelier and Wine Director. My culinary skills, while self-taught through years of personal experience and insights gained from a 16-year marriage to a professional chef, allow me to create healthy, balanced meals with an emphasis on fresh ingredients.
Over the years, I have developed a cooking style that focuses on using farm-fresh ingredients to prepare dishes with balanced flavors, taking into account the importance of ambiance, flatware, stemware, and the progression of flavors and beverages in creating a comprehensive dining experience. My international travel experiences have significantly influenced my cooking style, introducing a unique signature to my dishes.
My expertise extends beyond cooking to include food and beverage pairings. Having built a career in wine, I also specialize in crafting unique cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, utilizing my own fermentations, teas, and house-made ingredients. This skill set was notably recognized with press coverage for a 12-course non-alcoholic cocktail pairing I designed while serving as the Beverage Director at a 2-Star Michelin restaurant in California.
