Looking for sailing opportunities in tidal waters to be able to qualify for the Yachtmaster rating.
Hi! My name is Andrzej. I'm a passionate and experienced sailor. Open to taking on any role onboard including captain. Right now, I'm working on my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certificate and therefore need a couple more tidal water passages of 60NM+.
I have sailed in Europe, North America, Bahamas and Lesser Antilles. I have skipper experience on boats up to 47'.
My navigation, meteorology, radio and boat handling skills are quite good. I have good working knowledge of chartplotters, radars and other onboard systems.
Anybody who has spent some time sailing very well knows that things break. I'm no stranger to fixing and maintaining winches, impellers, windlasses, roller furlings and troubleshooting misbehaving electronics.
I love sailing, scuba or free diving, spear fishing, cooking, interesting conversations with open minded people, challenging myself and learning new things. I'm licensed to fly single engine aeroplanes and gliders ( sailing vessels of the skies ;) My coolest "sailing experience" has actually been in a sailplane, when one day, over the Sierra Nevada mountain range, I managed to climb to 29,000 feet.
