Watch: Sawasdee Koh Lanta
Aloha and Ahoy! Permission to come aboard?!
Aloha and Ahoy! I'm an urban girl (from San Francisco Bay Area) turned island girl (Oahu, Hawaii) turned world traveler (currently a remote-worker). Since living in Hawaii, I'm all about nature and the outdoors; kayaking, snorkeling, surfing, stand-up paddling, diving, hiking, camping, stargazing, road-trips, and of course, sailing. Started practicing yoga the last few years, so trying to live life with more awareness and mindfulness. Semi-healthy eater (can't say no to chocolate and desserts), likes to experiment with cooking (loves The Food Network and Pinterest), non-smoker, prefers rum over other spirits, great photographer, somewhat techie, mature/level-headed, organized, neat, tidy, simple living, eco and environmentally conscious. I've had work experiences from cashier, sales, waitress, office admin, treasurer, tv/movie production assistant/secretary, social media, community manager, baby-sitter, house-sitter, yoga assistant, tour-guide, and even day-of wedding coordinator. I call myself "Yen of all trades".
I love to travel, adventure, and explore, whether it be sailing across the seas/oceans, or hiking to find waterfalls and amazing scenery, or checking out local culture (people, food, music, etc). One of my recent and most memorable trip was meeting a stranger from a Couchsurfing meetup, messaged her about traveling to Myanmar together, and then met at the bus station to head to the airport. We traveled together for almost a month going on random adventures throughout the whole country. I truly had the best time with her and became best of friends.
I'm looking to join a boat to sail for a week or longer. I have very basic knowledge of boats, but have helped a friend sail overnight across the Molokai Channel (one of the roughest bodies of water) and not get seasick. I can offer to cook, clean, teach yoga, and share travel/life stories.
