ICC Licensed Competent Skipper/Co-Skipper or Deckhand for cruising in the Meds
Hi, my name is Paul and I've graduated my bachelor in international business. I am currently cruising around the Carribbean as Deckhand on a Oyster 625. Before that I was a Co-Skipper of a 46 ft Beneteau Oceanis.
I am currently holding the International certificate for operators of pleasure craft on the waterways navigable by sea-going ships (ICC). I grew up on my grandfathers bavaria 1130 and I am keen to take over responsibility for other sailing vessels. I spend couple of months solo on board while sailing around the danish southern sea. More than 15000 NM logged.
The last 8 months I've worked as Deckhand/Co-Skipper and crossed the Atlantic to Barbados on a 54 ft. Amel. I helped not only maintaining the boat (filters, pumps, engine), but also took care of sailing, tender driving, cooking, cleaning and everything else that occurred on the boat.
I have no problems with intercultural exchange, and I'm fast adaptable to my environment. I can stand nightwatches, see myself as open minded, physically and psychologically resilient, and keen to not only learn fast, but also to provide support to the best of my knowledge and belief.
What I am looking for:
Skipper, Captn. or Owner of a sailing vessel who is interested in cruising around the Mediterranean or deliveries around the meds. Expenses to/from vessel are negotiable as well as Expenses on board. Allowance is welcome, but sharing knowledge, gaining experience and learning aboard is more interesting for me.
Looking forward to cross back on the Atlantic from the Caribbean to Europe mid of May. Available in the Meds mid/end of June, depending on weather conditions.
Professional CV with a more detailed overview of my experience and my licenses on request.
Looking forward to your message :)
A Great crew member
I have just completed a transatlantic crossing from the Canaries to Barbados. I was a watch leader and Paul was working with me. Paul is an excellent crew member. He is friendly, easygoing and a very competent sailor. He is fluent in English which certainly helped me!! Paul is mature beyond his years, trustworthy, a great cook and he has a great sense of humour. If I was to cross the Atlantic again Paul will be my first choice for crew. His foredeck work and sail trimming displayed on the crossing shows how he adapted his regatta experience into passage making. As the title states "A great crew member"
