Hello! My name is Shane. I'm looking to join a crew in a new location where i can learn, meet new people and have fun.
Currently CA looking to check out different opportunities. Possess my merchant mariner credential for 100 ton master inland and 100 ton mate near coastal aux sail. I have been working on tourist related vessels for the past 6 years so I am willing to do similar work or crew on work vessels or private crafts to further my boating experience in different fields.
I have been engineering on different vessels for over 4 years now. Not licensed but i would like to take some courses in the near future to gain better overall knowledge of marine diesel engineering. Advancing my open water scuba certification up to dive master is also on the to-do list.
I have worked on a couple different style crafts over the past few years. Worked on Danish brigantine tall ships in Australia (two and three mast). worked on a 90 ft catamaran in Maalaea harbor, Maui. Also two seasons on a 103 ft leisure paddle-wheeler and 93 ft yacht, most recently 49px bayweld v-hulls running whale watching tours in Alaska.
Jist of it is im looking for new experiences with a fun knowledgeable crew. I'm easy to work with and i like to stay busy with my work.
