Enthusiastic deckhand with ridiculous eagerness to learn, currently looking to grow within the industry!
Dear captain and/or owner:
Thank you very much for taking your time to read my profile.
I am a people driven, enthusiastic and adventurous young man with a newfound passion for the maritime industry and a ridiculous eagerness to learn. I have previously worked in up-scale environments with varying degrees of responsibility, so working hard with high attention to detail, following orders as well as taking initiative is not foreign to me.
During my travels, I have had opportunities to work in service-orientated short-term roles in various hospitality businesses and in social work in different countries. I am used to dealing with people from all walks of life with different societal and cultural backgrounds. Within those, I have been working in high-end environments which taught me to dot the i´s and cross the t´s. Adapting to guests’ needs is self-evident and I am always ready to go the extra mile in order to achieve that.
I have completed my STCW, I have finished my RYA Powerboat Level 2 and possess an unrestricted ENG1 medical. I do speak four languages fluently, which may be beneficial for the interaction with guests on board. I am confident that I will adapt quickly as I consider myself very teachable. As mentioned, I have worked on sailboats before, so while there is certainly always more to learn, I do have foundations which will accelerate the familiarization with the ins and outs of your vessel. Being German, I do fulfil the stereotype of punctuality and reliability, while having always a smile in my face. A positive, cooperative and constructive working environment is important to me, which I why I believe that I will have little difficulty fitting into the crew.
Currently I am based in Germany and I am ready to depart at anytime.
