I'm interested in a position as a Competent Crew, Deckhand, Stewardess and/or cook aboard a vessel where the owners need an honest and reliable couple to join them on their ocean adventures. I am keen to participate in all facets of daily life aboard your vessel and in return I simply ask to be remunerated appropriately and treated respectfully.
With several years spent living aboard my partners private yacht (a gaff rigged cutter) cruising the Great Barrier Reef shores of Australia, I know firsthand the work involved with daily life aboard a cruising vessel. My blue water experience consists of a 1200nm sail from Australia to New Zealand aboard a 50ft Catamaran where I performed duties such as watchkeeper, cook, and deckhand.
2019 we were fortunate to work aboard a Beneteau 473 in Greece where I learnt how to anchor and reverse stern-to the town dock at various greek islands, step off and enjoy a refreshing cold ale at one of the many taverna's lining the docks. A magic experience!
2021 we crewed on a 60ft catamaran in the Whitsundays and North Queensland coast (Queensland Great Barrier Reef, Australia)
2022 I worked as cook, deckhand and stewardess for a couple aboard their 104ft Super yacht sloop, sailing from the Gold Coast Queensland to Whitsundays North Queensland. Along with deckhand and stewardess duties, I was responsible for provisioning, menu design and cooking for all crew, the owners and their guests. It was a huge job description and an incredible experience, Oh and the sailing was sublime!
I am a fun loving Aussie girl, with a longing for adventure and new experiences. Both my partner and I are passionate about the environment, and enjoy a number of activities ranging from motorcycle touring, camping and hiking, to photography, music DJ and festival goers to name a few. I have a passion for travel and especially meeting new people, and discovering new cultures and cuisines.
I am self disciplined and competent to work both on my own and as part of a team. Leroy and I have proven to work well together in all situations, we are easy to get along with and always willing to listen and learn. We both have great hospitality skills which we are currently exercising by hosting an eco friendly Bed and Breakfast. It has gained rave reviews and proven a huge success, however it is time to move back onto the water and share our combined skills and expertise whilst hopefully gaining new friendships along with new skills and experiences.
