I am in search of a position as a 1st Mate, Bosun, Deckhand position, Competent Crew, Delivery Crew,
Since completing a successful career in commercial construction in Australia I have been travelling aboard extensively in Canada, Europe and Asia for the past 6years. During this time I have pursued my passion for sailing gaining commercial experience as a senior deckhand plus completing formal MCA maritime qualifications in Thailand and Gilbrator.
In addition to my own twenty years of recreational boating experience and ownership, I have been very fortunate to have received practical and valued tuition from exceptional captains during yacht racing and boat delivery contracts. My attributes as a senior deckhand include exceptional people skills and personality, solid boating knowledge covering boat maintenance, management and engineering including a demonstrated ability to diagnose and fix issues with engines, hydraulics , plumbing and electrical systems, proven watchkeeping and navigation skills, helming, docking and line handling in addition to performing as a first aid and safety officer.
Recent contracts include as 1st Mate of a 63’ Hanse from Barcelona to Greece which required numerous repairs by me while at sea to keep the vessel on time for the passage.

In the off season of the European Winter I am currently managing my family's beef cattle farm located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales Australia, this will conclude in the near future allowing my return to Europe
