Looking for a Deckhand, Delivery Crew or Dive Instructor position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm looking for a permanent position as a Deckhand or Deckhand/DiveMaster on a S/Y or M/Y and work to become a Lead-deckhand, possibly an OOW eventually.
About me:
I love the ocean and working with people. I’m energetic, a fast learner with an excellent work ethic and my time in the hospitality industry as cocktail-bartender taught me how to make personal connections with everyone I meet.
Whereas my time in the South African Navy as Junior Combat Officer taught me discipline, respect for the chain-of-command, having an eye for detail and the value of positively contributing to the ship's morale. I also worked for many years as a Rigger, Dive Instructor and Marine Support Diver in the South African Film Industry where I trained lots of cast and crew and assisted building stunt-rigs and therefore have extensive rope and line handling experience.
I believe in having a teachable spirit at all times and would love to learn from a Captain/Skipper/Crew where mentorship is valued on board.
