Looking for Work on a Sailboat or Yacht

I look forward to spending time on the water again and developing new friendships. As a young man I learned to sail in NJ on small sailboats on tidal rivers, mainly the Navesink. I raced a Bluejay weekends in the summer for a few years and I did well. I also skippered a Cal 40 in Marathon, FL for the owner on weekends in 1986-7. Later in life after I moved to the Keys I skippered a 30' Island Hopper with a 3208 Cat set up for fishing. Then, in 1990, I went back to school and became an RN. I worked as a Hospice nurse for 18 years and I retired about 5 years ago. My dream is to sail. I would love to get on a boat and fulfill that dream now. I know my prior sailing experiences coupled with nursing could only help me in helping you on your next adventure on the water. I'm a VERY young 73 in great shape. I can't stress the fact enough that I do not look or act my age and can do and finish a job.
I have a deep desire for a sailing adventure. My wife recognizes this and told me to follow my dream. She realizes that it's important for me to do this. It's a dream I've had since I moved to the Keys in 1985. I am now in a position to be able to leave home and sail off in any direction for as long as I want. I want to join a group of sailors and follow my dream. I know I can be a helpful member of the team and carry my portion of the workload. One of my most valuable assets is that I can follow directions without questioning every little instruction the captain/owner gives. He's captain, I'm crew.

I'm very easy to get along with and can either be a part of a certain project or work where directed. I don't leave a big footprint and can disappear with a book for hours. I enjoy most music, I keep up with current events that interest me but don't argue my position.

I'm looking for a group of relaxed friendly people with a safe well outfitted boat who are interested in gaining an able man for crew. I'm fine with watches and any other boating needs. I'd expect a bunk and small locker for clothes personal items.
