My name is Federico, professionally known as FedeMares, and I am a professional yacht captain with over 20,000 real and certified nautical miles sailed as skipper.
I work on charter yachts, private, and yacht deliveries, operating both sailing and motor yachts. I am used to adapting to different vessels, owners, guests, and operational styles, always prioritizing safety, good seamanship, and respect for the yacht.
My true passion is sailing, especially real offshore sailing. I strongly believe in navigating with proper planning, weather awareness, and seamanship, making the most of the wind while maintaining comfort and safety on board. Sailing is not just my profession, but a way of life that I continue to develop and refine with every mile.
In addition to navigation, I have solid technical knowledge of onboard systems, including engines, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and general maintenance. This allows me to anticipate issues and handle situations autonomously during long passages or deliveries.
I am a responsible, calm, and well-organized captain, comfortable working solo, with reduced crews, or with guests on board. I am used to long passages, night navigation, and professional operations in both coastal and offshore environments.
