Looking for a Captain, 1st Mate, Delivery Crew or Manager position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Captain, 1st Mate, Delivery Crew or Manager.
After a lifetime spent living my passion and respect for the sea, sailing mainly as hobby, skippering chartered boats and as a sport in one-design and offshore regattas and after 30 years working as lawyer specialized in Aviation & Yachting Law, I realized that I had the privilege of not only having earned a remarkable sailing and cruising experience but that I also developed the touch and the pleasure for transmitting to and sharing with the persons sailing with me the fascination and respect for the sea and the appreciation for the countless magic, relaxing, exciting and sometimes challenging moments that sailing can offer.
Having been grown-up in family of boat owners and having been a boat owner myself, and thanks also to my 30 years+ professional experience of Aviation & Yachting Lawyer I developed over the years a deep understanding of the desires, appetites, expectations and sometimes problems, disappointments and frustrations that boat owners are most exposed to, being able to spot risks early on, often before they turn into problems, and having the professional and practical capabilities and an international network of reliable acquaintances to sort-out challenging situations in a smooth and drama free manner.
When I realized that over the years my preferred hobby, sailing, and my profession allowed me to develop a pretty unique blend of capabilities, know-how and sensitivity and that I was able to using this blend for making the experience of the persons sailing with me not only safe but also relaxing, fulfilling and sometimes also truly regenerating that I decided to “cross the fence” and to apply for Captain position to making available to discerning owners and to their families, friends and guests the wealth of experience that I've accumulated during more than 45 years of very fulfilling sailing career.
