Mile Building - crew deckhand - crew delivery - novice crew

I'm interested in adding miles and experience after completing sailing school in Oct 2020 at NauticEd - The Bareboat Charter Master series of courses. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!

I hold a current Canadian passport and US permanent resident alien status (USA green card). I have FBI clearance for teaching in California schools. I own and operate an almond ranch in California so some preplanning is necessary for an extended sail.

I need sea miles to complete my academic curriculum "Bareboat Charter Master" just completed at NauticEd. I was hoping to delay until covid vaccines are readily available.

I do have relevant practical experience, owned a 33 foot 5th wheel RV so attended to off grid utlity systems including 5500 platinum Onan LPG generator, land sea head, 12 volt electrical systems, fresh water, grey water, black water tank holding systems, minor fiberglass repairs and gel coat maintenance. In addition operating an orchard has included diesel engine maintenance, irrigation system pvc pastics, Lakos sand media filters, microprocessor irrigation controller programming and maintenance (Yardney / Alex Tronix). At UC Davis California, additional microprocessor programming with Campbell Scientific C10 for monitoring crop canopy microclimates in plant pathology experiments.

I am very interested energy management for off grid marine electrical systems. In particular, the new Intregel power units that replace the alternator on diesel engines. It costs of course but when combined with 48 DC volt lithium ion batteries greatly increases storage capacity with reduced charge times. The Integrel is like an alternator in that it bolts onto the diesel engine and is turned by a belt drive. However the Integrel is capable of producing up to 9 kW of power – 9 kW-hrs of energy in just 1 hour of engine running when installed as a 48 volt DC system. This can mean running just half an hour it can produce all the energy you need on a boat for a whole day. The Integrel device stores this extra energy into a new battery bank (lithium-Ion batteries are preferred)
