Looking for Mile Building experience underway!
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Competent Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building. I have well over 100,000 nautical miles past my keel but 95% of that is on large ships with thousands of hours as Officer of the deck/bridge, night watches, ocean crossings. I’m a Blue Nose and a Shell Back. I’ve been sailing off and on for the past 10 years. I’ve recently completed RYA Coastal Skipper and Day Skipper and have my Long Range Radio Operator Cert of Proficiency and the ICC CERT. And I’ve completed multiple ASA courses in the past.
I have my own Bavaria 42 that I keep in Moreton Bay.
I have sailed the east coast of Australia from Sydney to the White Sundays several times. I’ve crossed from Brisbane to New Zealand and New Zealand to Vanuatu and from New Caledonia to Sydney on multiple sail boats.
I’m always looking for any opportunity to gain experience underway, preferably on sailing vessels. I am willing to travel anywhere in Australia or nearby for the right opportunity.
