Looking for a Voluntary work, Competent Crew, Teacher or Boat sitter position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Voluntary work, Competent Crew, Teacher or Boat sitter. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
I own an Endurance 35 cutter rigged ketch (Ferro) but am really interested in stepping up into a catamaran for comfort and live-aboard reasons. I would love the opportunity to get familiar with life aboard a cat and everything it entails.
I am currently training as a VMR skipper with SA Sea Rescue Squadron in South Australia. I have completed the AMSA crew qualification to VMR requirements.
I am easy going, non smoker, tall, fit and healthy for my age. Open minded and tolerant. Happy to enjoy an occasional drink.
I have completed the following Australian AMSA Qualifications:
MARF027- Apply basic survival skills in the event of vessel abandonment.
MARF028- Follow procedures to minimise and fight fires on board a vessel.
MARF029- Meet work health and safety requirements.
MARF030- Survive at sea using survival craft.
MARN008- Apply seamanship skills aboard a vessel up to 12 metres.
I use a CPAP machine (240V) while sleeping which keeps me fresh and avoids grumpy! Cheers, Phil.
