Hi, I am Martin a professional captain since 2015. Yachtmaster ocean lisence commercially endorsed with all the other importand qualifications like STCW95, ENG1 and so on.......
I have vast experience in sailing mono- and multihulls up to 50 m hull length in all wheather conditions. On top of that I have a profound knowledge in ship maintenance and repair, rigging, engineering, cleaning and hospitality. Having sailed vessels of many different types (monohull and multihull) provides me with a broad knowledge of the different rigging types and their handling.
About myself..........people I worked for describe me as reliable, thorough, serivce oriented, relaxed & very friendly. I am also clean & tidy, fit & healthy, skilled, discreet, trustworthy, love to teach how to sail, open mindend and at the end like to apply also a little sense of humor ;)

Madeira to Portugal
Martn, was wonderful to have on board with us for a 5-day passage from Maderia to South Portugal, plus the 2 days before helping us with last-minute boat jobs. The crew learnt so much from Martn, especially me. Your experience and kind, calm way of explaining things made us both feel very safe and in good hands yet we also felt empowered to perform skippering/decision-making. Another very welcome aspect that I must mention is how well you helped us with the soft skills, keeping crew motivated and working happily together. This is not at all easy, especially when individuals feel they have more experience themselves in something than the skipper/first mate. We are most grateful to you for all of these things, but most of all, because you allowed us to begin to relax and enjoy the experience. This is what it is all about after all.
