Thinking a lot about sailing and changing lifestyle! Do you have a Friendship or Novice Crew position??
Hi,
I am an engineer and currently thinking (a lot) about changing lifestyle and traveling the world! Experiencing sailing and meeting new people seems to be the right thing to do... I am good with hard work, shift watches, and I will enjoy practising sports and just living on the water!
I could see myself a good fit and useful in some sense, I am an engineer (aerospace and weather satellites) and I am taking some time off to spend on the water sailing and scuba diving. I have also built my own campervan from scratch, so I love solving and doing maintenance problems. But also I love meeting and talking with people, and being part of the adventure! Hopefully one day soon I will take the step and buy my own boat to sail off the traditional office life. I have actually started with formal training and certifications in the Spanish sailing certificates (PER) so I am aware of the technical parts as well as doing night watches, etc.
About my availability, I am have family in Gran Canaria and plan to be around there late December and early January. Then I will be up for sailing for months, and eventually looking into doing some scuba diving certifications (next steps are instructor and professional certifications for me).
