Permanent/Seasonal Deckhand, Competent Crew or Dayworker role
Hi there! I am searching for a temporary or permanent position around the Med, preferably in a professional setting however I will not hesitate to do voluntary work in order to gain sea miles for my Yacht master offshore.
I have a little under 2 years experience in hospitality as a chef, waiter and kitchen assistant so I am comfortable with potential clients you may have on board (and the heavy cleaning that results).
Apart from hospitality I have some experience in light carpentry and painting through my time working for the family business and through my personal projects around the house.
As a Kid I lived in the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia and grew up dinghy sailing, going out for day trips on the weekend and just generally being in and around the water. Unfortunately, I was forced to stop after moving to the UK and I lost my passion for sailing. That was until last year when I had the opportunity to join a friend on a day sail. This reignited my passion and lead me to do a Superyacht training course where I received qualifications including; RYA Day Skipper, STCW 95, Powerboat Level 2 and so on.
My goal is to transfer and build on existing skillsets and transfer experience from my previous roles to secure a long term career in the private yacht industry.
