Looking for a Novice Crew, Voluntary work, Mile building
Howdy y'all! My name is Edward but everyone calls me Guy. I am looking for any and all kinds of experiences. My preference are mono-hulled sailing ships, but I'll be happy just being on the water in a barrel with an oar!
A little about myself: I grew up in Seattle, Washington, USA, watching ships come in and out of the Puget Sound. I entered my High School's maritime program and discovered my love of sailing on a class trip on the Zodiac, a large, two masted schooner.
After high school, I entered the service where I did computer networking in Okinawa, Japan and Southern California. Unfortunately I was unable to spend any time aboard any kind of vessel for the duration of my four years of service.
Afterwards I moved to northern Nevada and went to college. I graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Science. While in Nevada, I spent two years working in an upscale restaurant kitchen, and another year as a junior auto mechanic.
As of September of this year, I've moved to Montana to get back into nature. I am in between jobs while waiting to enroll into SUNY Maritime College in the fall of 2022. I will be studying for a BS in Marine Transportation and be graduating with a USCG Unlimited Third Mate license.
