Searching an Atlantic crossing crew position

Short about me, my name is Viktor Frisk, 32 years old from Sweden, taking a career break this year after have been working for a Swedish forestry company the past 10 years. Spent the past 7 years abroad, 4,5 years in New York and 2 years in Amsterdam. This year I've been travelling for the most part, spent the winter in Switzerland skiing powder, surfing in France during the spring and split the summer between Ibiza and then sailing in Sweden.

When it comes to sailing, I've been learning more and more the past 9 years and enjoy recreational sailing. I hold the Swedish Kustskepparintyg: "The Coastal Yachtmaster Diploma is required to master a Swedish pleasure yacht with a length over all at least 12 meters, and a width over all of at least 4 meters, (12×4 m). The holder has shown satisfactory knowledge of the regulation for the prevention of collision at sea, navigation in sheltered and open waters, seamanship, and ship´s documents, electronic aids, safety, meteorology, first aid, the environment and other maritime subjects in accordance with the requirements of NFB. Practical boat training has been carried out." along with the Short Range Certificate. I've done one overnight passage from Stockholm to Gotland (Visby), about 95 nm, so I'm ready for the night watches. Besides sailing both the West and East coast of Sweden I've also together with friends rented boats and sailed in Thailand, Croatia and Ibiza/Formentera.

Coming from the sports worlds, ice hockey and football, I'm definetly a team player and have a can do attitude. Besides having sailing skills and being an easy going, clean person, I'm also pretty decent in the galley and looking forward to make sure that we enjoy some nice meals on the boat, as a proper Swede would say, "if the stomack is happy, the human is happy" :)

So why do I want to do an Atlantic crossing? It feels like the most amazing way to wrap up my time off from the professional life, doing a proper sailing adventure to arrive in and enjoy the Caribbean paradise together with new friends! I think it would probably be the only trip that could outdo my Kilimanjaro summit :)

Looking forward to hearing more from you and hopefully seeing you soon! Oh, and as it comes for dates, you've probably already figured out that my life is very flexible and easy going, so I don't have anything holding me back either before or after the crossing.

Best regards,
Viktor
