Looking for a Novice Crew position
After traveling around the West Coast, Rocky Mountains and South West of the United States I feel its time to take to the Sea full time. Working for the Veterans Affairs for 12 years after completing a Batchelors Degree in Construction / Technology Management and being Honorable discharged from the United States Air Force as a Combat Medic / EMT (4FoX) I’ve decided to pursue my idea of chasing my imaginations sailing.
• As a military trained Emergency Medical Technician I can asses medical situations at sea. I can stabilize and care for an injured person. I can communicate / radio in for assistance.
• Living in Utah, we have Lake Powell, which boast more coast line than east and west coast of the US. I’ve been running a 13 ft. yacht tender from Bull frog Marina to Rainbow bridge religiously. My outings average ruffly 150 miles on often ruff waters. One weekend the out board stopped working due to operator error 60 miles away from the marina. After oaring around I was able to borrow tools to tear down the motor and free the gears.
• Over land Ive Modified my van into a comfortable home with electrical options for cooking. Noticing one 12v battery wasn’t enough to keep the refrigerator running I added 3 more batteries in series and tested the inverter & chargers serviceability. I also installed a roll out shade shade and shower.
• Before I joined the military I worked as a Plumber & electrician.
• Working at a dive shop filling tanks, I also cleaned hulls at the harbor
• I take pride in making a good cup of coffee every morning & BBQ’ing most every evening. Aspire to Foraging for salads vs shopping

Group cooking, waste management & hygiene is important for the trips success as well as health. I have rowed a 16ft raft down the Grand Canyon (16 days) as well as many other river multi day expeditions
• As a rock climber, vertical cave and canyon explorer I am no stranger to knots or rope
• I’ve been Dj’ing for 23 year and alway cary my tracks to work a gig. Don’t worry I’m not an music evangelist and will only share when requested. https://soundcloud.com/defklik/my-spirit-my-soul. I have also been recording and sound editing for 23 years and know my way around a computer
