HeyHey! I'm looking for a more sustainable and adventurous way to get from the Azores to Central Europe in August!
Hey hey!
my name is Lina and I'm 22 years old. I'm from Germany and usually also study there. For almost one year though I've been studying as an Erasmus student at the university on the Azores and living on Terceira Island.
I want to go back to the mainland sometime in July or August and currently looking for a more sustainable and adventurous way than taking the plane back home.
I'm studying Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology and therefore am really interested in nature and our environment. During the last year here on the Azores, I spent as much time in nature (in or outside the ocean) as possible. I love scuba and free diving, hiking, and surfing. At the moment I'm trying to include yoga and meditating in my daily routine as well. In general, I would consider myself an open-minded person, always trying new things and getting to know people and their visions of life is where I'm seeking a lot of energy and enrichment. I can adapt very well to people and energies and am always open to constructive criticism and good conversations. I have good communication skills especially since I am very in need of harmony and enjoy open and honest communication.
I also like to cook and am happy to help wherever I can. Basically, I am very easygoing and look forward to a carefree and enriching time for all crew members.
I don't have experience on boats yet but I'm a quick learner and motivated to help wherever I can. I would love to have my own sailing boat one day to travel the world in a simpler, more sustainable, and slower way.
Before I'm taking any license I would love to gain more experience by sailing with people that are willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with me.
Here on the Azores I also learned to appreciate taking life a bit slower and would find it nice to continue that also with traveling slowly to reinforce the experience of distance traveled and actually feeling small on this earth.
