Seeking Atlantic Crossing — Mile Building
Hi — I'm looking for a position as Competent Crew for mile-building, with an Atlantic crossing as my primary goal. I'm also flexible for shorter or longer passages, coastal or open ocean.
I hold an RYA Competent Crew certificate and have built solid sea time across Northern Europe over the past two years, including several offshore and Channel crossings in both directions:
Amsterdam → London, June 2024 — 195 nm
Lymington → The Hague, July 2025 — 230 nm
Málaga → Cartagena, May 2026 — 173 nm
Stockholm → Tallinn, June 2026 — 205 nm
Gothenburg → Stavanger, August 2026 — 210 nm
Roughly 1,015 nautical miles of recent passages across the North Sea, English Channel, Baltic, Skagerrak, and Western Mediterranean.
I also own and regularly sail my own sailboat (Maxi 77) in Sweden, both solo and with crew, which keeps me current on boat handling, watchkeeping, and passage planning between trips as guest crew.
I'm reliable, adaptable, and comfortable offshore — happy to take on watches, galley duties, sail handling, or maintenance tasks as needed. Available for an Atlantic crossing and open to discussing dates and vessel details.
