Captain — 500GT Yachtmaster

Master of Yachts less than 500 tons unlimited, with 10,000+ sea miles across delivery, charter, and private operations.

I look forward to meeting new people and sharing my experience. As a communicative former professional photographer, I bring a creative perspective to my work — happy to shoot and edit onboard content if it's useful to owners. I'm also available as an instructor, navigator, or delivery/transfer captain.

I hold two levels of Yacht Master license, internationally valid and commercially endorsed for all open seas (offshore), plus valid STCW 95/2010 and ENG1. I never sail without professional liability insurance.

Open to delivery, relief captain, and instructor work between contracts.

Q: What’s your favourite boating experience? Actualy it was charter on east Adriatic coast with group of Italians. They were so keen to learn and be part of sailing that it felt like having big crew on 14m catamaran.

Q: What is it about being on the water that makes you tick? When out on the sea only thing that matters at that moment is weather, state of the sea and boat. Complete focus.

Fearless, funny and a damned fine chef

Sailed with Mladen on a five-week delivery from the French Atlantic coast to Croatia. It's always a bit of a lottery about who you're on board with, but there's no worries in that respect with Mladen. He's a smart guy, good sailor, great chef (seriously - there was a three-course meal one night!) and accomplished photographer with a broad-minded world view. Glad to count him as a friend.
