Looking for the crew position Europe: Summer/Autumn 2024
Time period: Summer/Early autumn 2024
I have RYA Competent crew, currently taking part in the Day Skipper course training. Eager to learn more about sailing as I just fell in love with the life on board. I love exploring, meeting new people, generally I have a curious, positive and open minded personality. I am hard working and reliable, interested in sustainability and good causes.
Experience (around 1,3k nm):
- December - January 2024: Crew in Carribbean sailing - BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico
- April - August 2023: First mate in the various chartering events (private or for companies) in UK (Solent), incl. Round the island race and Cowes racing week (incl. preparation & fixing of the boat, interacting with the chartering clients etc.)
- January - February 2023: Sailboat race Grenada Sailing Week, then cruising to the other Caribbean islands (4,5 weeks in total, half was double handed)
- July - August 2022: Sailing in Greece and Turkey
Generally love to join the boats to learn more sailing / not paid or paid opportunities

I had the pleasure of sailing with Klara for 3 weeks cruising the BVI, USVI & Puerto Rico in Dec & January 2024. She was looking to accrue more sea time / mile building. She's a very fit and able deckhand and capable in the galley. She also brings fun, curiosity with a lovely positive attitude aboard. Every day was a good day ! A very organized person and a nice compliment to any ships crew.
