Experienced crew member, completed RYA Dayskipper in 2025

I have about 6500 nautical miles of experience at sea as a crew member. See my Maritime Experience section for details.

I have an RYA Dayskipper qualification. Completed the theory course and practical training in 2025.

I have experience as delivery crew and supporting long-distance world cruisers.

Currently I own an Investigator 563 trailer sailer which I race for fun in Canberra and use for lake, river and coastal sailing. Before that I sailed my NS14 (14-foot skiff) on the lake for 10 years.

I'm keen to build my experience on various types of yachts.

I'm positive, optimistic, sensible, respectful and safe. I'm not a mechanic but pretty good at fixing things and problem solving. I can do basic first aid. I am a very strong swimmer.

I have been spending time in the sea and surf in south eastern NSW my whole life. I'm into swimming, diving, fishing and other watersports. I'm up for adventure and I've done a fair bit of self-reliant activities with a bit of risk and isolation, like multi day bushwalking including solo trips and navigating off trails etc.
