I hold RYA Competent Crew and VHF certificates. Keen to build on my experience and start to work toward Dayskipper.
I completed RYA comp crew in 2018 sailing in the Solent from Southampton. In May 23 I visited a crewbay member based in Woodbridge, Suffolk to help out with some maintenance work on a classic wooden smack. Also through crewbay: in early June 23, I was part of a novice crew sailing from the Hamble to East Cowes...and back!! Since then I've had a few days dinghy sailing with friends from Herne bay, North Kent.
Some of the most valuable experience I had from my training was: safety at sea, helming/watch on a night passage, running though drills such as man overboard/boat manoeuvres/mooring and cooking at sea.
I've had limited sailing experience over the last few years, but would love to get back on the water. I'm available as a crew member for day sailing/cruising.
I'm writing this on July 6th 2026, I am available through the next month before I start a work placement on August 8th. I'd like to join for day sailing or cruising/passages in UK or nearby; I can respond at short notice. Please get in touch with me to discuss further.
If you have a last minute request, please message, call or whatsapp me directly on 07817 612669.
My background is in Civil Engineering, I was a member of a sailing club in my youth.
I've been really lucky to travel a lot over the last ten years and I was living in Turkey last year.

Intelligent, thoughtful, safe.
.... And a great laugh! Pete was my first CrewBay guest and it was an all around pleasure to sail with him. He knew more than me and was a patient teacher and he was a joyful presence to have on the boat. We completed roughly 50 nautical miles together over 4 days, with around 12 of those miles being Pete's first solo sail to the Osbourne bay, Isle of Wight from the Hamble. A great guy and a new friend who will hopefully be coming back some day for another journey or two.
