Fun and adventurous traveler looking to gain miles so I can proceed to do my day skipper

Hi! I'm interested in finding a position for Voluntary work offering a range of skills such as basic maintenance and continuing to follow instructions on a boat. I have now completed an intensive course where I learnt how to sail around the coast of Lagos Portugal. I have been in the helm, anchored, and practiced MOB procedures and so on. I have also completed an ocean crossing from Portugal to the gran canaries where I worked as component crew. I am looking to continue to build on this knowledge while building up my miles. I am flexible where I can come on board but I am based in coffs harbour at the moment. I also have general maintenance experience as I have worked on a boat for 3 weeks removing the oxidation on it. I also worked on removing and repainting the antifouling on a yatch. I have completed a 2 week cruise from the gold coast to airlie beach to transfer the boat for commercial purposes. I have also helped sailing and motoring around the Capricorn cays and the narrows of the coast of gladstone. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!

Superb crew

Amelia, joined me on Questina II with no knowledge, but that did not last for long. She was so studious, keen and proactive that no skipper should miss an opportunity if it arises to consider Amelia as crew. Not only professional, but she adds fun to the boat and is good in the galley and other boat duties. We went through the basics of competent crew, but it was obvious to take her to the next step of being a skipper. After she finished with me she joined a boat going from Lagos, Portugal to the Canary Islands, and after speaking to that skipper he would thoroughly endorse my appraise of her. Thank you Amelia for you company and diligence, a perfect student. You will always be welcome back on Questina and very much considered for longer passages. I wish you all the best for the future in your sailing career, go girl, you've got this.
