Experienced young skipper looks Atlantic crossing from canary islands
Hii together, my name is Laura from germany and my dream this year is to sail over the atlantic ocean.
I´m searching for a boat with skipper, it´s not important which gender, age or whatever, just with passion in sailing! :D ARC or a boat transfer is both great.
I already have some sailing experience. 10´000+ sm in the Mediterranean sea, Caribbean, Pacific, Canary islands, English channel, Baltic sea and the Bodensee. I have the highest german sailing licence SHS, the Royal yachtmaster offshore and experience with using of radar, AIS, Inmarsat etc. But my real practical experience depends on working as a skipper for german companys, which are renting a boat, hire me as skipper and join 9 foreign people on it for one week. I am used to be the only one with sailing experience on the boat, that´s why I am used to solve problems, navigation, weather informations and everything else on the boat by my own. To the normal skipper jobs I also offer sailing instructions and skippertrainings to stay in touch with the sailing theory.
As person, I would discribe myself as open minded but not loud, very sailing motivated, always happy and considerate. I know the live and the place on bord and have no problem with this. I have a lot eager to learn and would like to communicate with my new crew and my skipper to learn more and more about sailing. But I also respect the room and time of the others and can occupy myself. ;)
