Looking for a Captain, Deckhand, 1st Mate
Hello,
My passion for sailing started in 2004, when I joined the Sea Scouts. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in sailing, navigation, yacht management, crew leadership, and guest care. To date, I have sailed approximately 15,000 NM, including extensive experience as skipper and captain.
Since May 2026, I have been working as a Skipper in the Cyclades, sailing a Fountaine Pajot Astréa 42 with up to eight guests and a host onboard. My responsibilities include navigation, route planning, docking and undocking, yacht management and maintenance, guest safety and comfort, provisioning, and cooperation with marinas and local partners.
In 2024, I worked as a Skipper and Chief Experience Officer with G Adventures, operating weekly trips in the Cyclades and Saronic Gulf aboard a Bavaria 51 Cruiser. I was responsible for navigation, safety, yacht maintenance, guest experience, finances, and daily operations.
I have also completed a yacht delivery from northern Germany to Sicily, managing an international crew and sailing along the Atlantic coast of Europe, southern Spain, the Balearic Islands, and Sardinia.
Earlier, in 2017, I worked as a skipper in the Mediterranean, running cruises for private guests and taking responsibility for navigation, route planning, guest care, yacht management, and finances.
My previous experience in logistics, sales, customer service, and business management has strengthened my organisational skills, sense of responsibility, and attention to detail.
I am now looking forward to continuing my career at sea, learning new things, and bringing my experience, reliability, and positive attitude to a new crew and yacht. I enjoy taking responsibility, working as part of a team, and I am not afraid of hard work.
