I just retired and I am ready to explore the world! We are a couple looking for a new adventure.
I am an ex-Navy Surface Warfare Officer and qualified Officer of the Deck of the USS Trenton LPD-14 (16T ship, yeah she was big!). I've sailed the world; Panama Canal transits, Suez Canal transits, multiple Atlantic Ocean crossings, Straits of Gibraltar transits, Straits of Hormuz transits, Arabian Sea "sail in a box for days", Persian Gulf taking care of business, etc. I have an abundance of sea stories to share.
I miss the sea and being underway!
I have picked up sailing and started my American Sailing Association (ASA) certifications. I have completed ASA 101 (Basic Keelboat), 103 (Basic Costal Cruising) , 104 (Bareboat Cruising) and 114 (Cruising Catamaran Sailing). I certified ASA 104 and 114 on a Lagoon 50 in Belize, what a blast!!!!
I am looking to build my sailing and marine experience. I have a lot of time on my hands and I am looking for a new adventure and purpose. I am open to assist with boat deliveries and companion sailing.
My wife is willing to explore with me and learn the ins and outs of sailing life. She is a fluent with English and Spanish, a great cook, very clean and fun to talk to. She is the best!
