Looking for a transatlantic from Cape Verde
Hi sailors !
My name is Anne-Gaëlle, 29 years old and biomedical engineer.
I travelled and worked for 1 year in Malaysia and Southeast Asia in general.
Wishing to continue travelling but in a more responsible way (slow-travel) and to appreciate the value of time, I dream of doing a transatlantic ⛵
⚓ Experience level, I made a 5-day mono crossing on the high seas between Lorient and Castletownbere (southwest of Ireland) at the end of June 2025 with a pro skipper and another team member (future skipper also). And a second offshore navigation between Lanzarote and Cape Verde on a catamaran this time. I can hold night shifts (by myself) and I'm not seasick ! I cook even when we are close with swell. Otherwise, I also participated in all the manoeuvres (spanning, ris, setting up the spi, code 0, focus adjustment, etc.) but I still have a lot to learn and I am super motivated!! (I have recommendations from the captains of my former nav)
As far as I am concerned, I am described as very adaptable to situations / people, serious, smiling and resourceful!
I love cooking, laughing (good humour above all ☀️) and above all I am very curious and like to discover new things!
I lived several years in a roommate so I am used to living in a "community". I love the adventure: I was a scout of France for several years (team spirit, mutual aid, cohabitation, distribution of tasks), does treks and dodo in the Malaysian jungle (among other things), etc. Adventure and discomfort do not scare me, on the contrary!!
Do not hesitate to contact me if you want to know more!
Anne-Gaëlle

Gifted novice
Anne Gaelle sailed with me from her home port in South Brittany to the South coast of Ireland, an offshore crossing of over 400 miles, in sometimes difficult conditions (heavy swell, wind up to 30 knots, engine problems). It must be her Breton blood, but while she has little sailing experience, she obviously has the potential to become a super crew. Her helming skills in particular are quite impressive for a near beginner. She's kind, very easy going and a fast learner. She showed great interest in what was happening on board and always tried to help. Not only that, but she doesn't get sea sick. I was impressed by how she adapted so easily to the varied and at times difficult conditions we encountered on the passage. I'm sure that she'd be a great addition to any crew.
