Young skipper looking to accumulate sailing experience and skills.
Hey :)
My name is Bahr, I'm a friendly guy from Israel who just got his skipper's license and is looking to accumulate some real sailing experience. Before moving to Israel, I lived in the United States, on both the east and west coasts. My love for the sea started in the navy. It was my first time in a maritime environment and it captured my heart. After my service, I worked as a farmer, but always wanted to return to the ocean, and as such, am starting a bachelor's degree in marine biology in the fall.
I have decided to go on an adventure and travel the world before starting university. As part of my trip, I will be in India for a while and would like to get to my next destination by boat.
I love meeting new people and hearing their wonderful stories (and telling some of my own ;). I am also a curious guy who loves to learn and apply that knowledge hands-on, so you can expect a hard worker with no shortage of questions.
I'm easygoing, clean, and polite; and can get along well with many people.
In terms of interests, I'm outdoorsy and mainly into mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and of course, sailing.
In addition, I play guitar and am in the process of learning Spanish.
I also love philosophy. long, deep conversations are definitely my thing. I'm a good communicatior who's interested in hearing peoples' philosophies and worldviews, and recon I would make a good companion on those long, lonely night watches ; )
I would love to sail with you!
