Ahoy, Crewbay mates!- I’m ready to hoist the anchor and embark on thrilling adventures!

Ciao sailers, as a world explorer and nature lover, I describe myself as adventurous and courageous. I have found out how valuable it is to enjoy life as much as possible. I love connecting with people wherever I travel. It's so rewarding for me to learn from each other and from different cultures. Once you start, you don't want to stop. Diana

I love and try to respect Mother Nature. The sea when it's calm and stormy. The peaceful moments when diving. Hiking up a mountain and admiring the summit, and I don't mind hugging a tree. Even though I like to dress up, I prefer to be barefoot and connect with the earth.

Sunsets and sunrises are magical every time, and the starry cinema makes the night watches worthwhile.

I like to be active and challenge myself, so getting out of my comfort zone is when I grow.

As a social butterfly, I like to have great times, have fun, dance, laugh, do something silly and then I also like my own ME time, especially in the morning with my coffee and journal.

Sports like sailing, diving, hiking, running, inline skating, skiing have a great impact on my energy level.
Photography, art, music and cooking (together) are other passions of mine. And last but not least, there is always an occasion to open a bottle of champagne.

I know nutrition is always an issue when sailing together. I generally like to eat healthily. That doesn't mean that I don't eat potato chips or that when you're at sea and it's rainy and stormy, a nasi goreng can be the best food. An anchor beer should not be missing.

Open and honest communication is essential for me. Living together in a small space can be challenging, but also rewarding.

What am I aiming for? I don't know yet, I'm open and looking for more adventures and great times. I'm not going to chase it, it will come at the right time.

I am definitely interested in improving my sailing skills, discovering more of the beauty of the earth and I admit that I really like the sailing community.

Remark: As a coach for transformational leadership and mindset, I can work freely as long as I have internet. If I go on a longer trip, I will adjust my agenda to the the passage.

My sailing journey began in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. After a 'sailing break', In 2022 I spontaneously helped a captain sail his vessel from Costa Rica to Panama. From then on, it was a snowball effect. In Panama, a captain asked me (who I met in Costa Rica) to help him cross the Panama Canal on his catamaran - that was epic! Another Mediterranean passage on a new catamaran a few weeks later.

Summer 2022, I announced that I would finally fulfill my dream of a round-the-world trip in 2023. In January I had no plan how, I just knew I wanted to do it differently. Et voila - I read a FB post. "Crew wanted for 3 months+ in Asia" 3 weeks later I was in Malaysia and living on board for 3 months. Afterwards I traveled on my own for a few weeks.

In June I got a message, I urgently need help for my crossing across the Indian Ocean, I flew from Europe to the Cocos Islands within 48 hours. The three-month crossing of the Indian Ocean was another epic journey, with lots of adventures, laughs and a great team. We ended up in South Africa and I traveled a bit on my own.

Back home I read another post about crossing the Atlantic on an electric race boat and it is documented on film. I've always wanted to sail on a race boat, it was like the dessert of my year. A lot more technical and definitely no comfort. We sailed from Portugal to Brazil. The elegance of a racing boat as it glides over the waves is fascinating and full of energy.

I've learned so much on these trips, not only about my sailing skills (there's still a lot to learn and I'm looking forward to it), but also about connecting with nature and about myself. As a fire sign, I didn't realize how much the ocean gives me.

As you can imagine (if you're still reading), I'm an adventurous, brave and spontaneous person as long as my gut says yes.

Yes, I fulfilled my dream and it went much better than I could have dreamed.

"Lost at sea, I found my soul. This past year of saying has taught me the beauty of adventure and the wisdom of nature. Grateful for every wave, every horizon, and every lesson learned. Looking out over the marina, I'm reminded of the countless journeys that shape us and the adventures yet to come - I am ready for more ⛵️??
