I have been sailing in Finland, New Zealand and Australia.
I did Adventure Tourism course in NZ with main portion of it being white water rafting.
I used to be electronics repair technician and worked in TV industry.
So I have analytical mind and practical problem solving skills which have been handy in sailing.
I am walking paraplegic due to paragliding accident but my balance is adequate for helm and single handed motoring.
I did my first single handed sailing trip from Airlie Beach to Bowen and back recently so I GOT THIS!
Here is a story of my epic journey across NZ on land. This time, in Australia, I am doing it across the water on my catamaran.

Prefer to have crew when sailing. Pretty much and able guy but sailing is more fun with company.
I am pretty good cook as I am gluten free and do not eat takeaways.
No pork or beer for me either but red wine occasionally. Not much of a drinker anymore or taking any recreational stimulants. Life is fun now as I rediscovered sailing.

  • Boat descriptionStellar is 1970 built cruising catamaran with enough modern conceniences to sail longer coastal hops. I purchased her in Gold Coast in March 20. During lockdown did all required repairs and sailed her with various crews to Airlie Beach. Small galley, cold shower, head. Brand new sails fitted on July 2021 made by Smith Sails in Pomona QLD. 9.9HP Yamaha outboard. Zodiac inflatable with 4HP Mercury outboard. Solar power setup with 12V system. 23" TV with DVD and Linux PC computer. Safety vests for 5. Flares, EBIRB, VHF radio and other required safety gear onboard. The cat has easy access to water using the steps at stern. Lot of deck space for a small boat. Speed and depth display next to helm. I have been using my Samsung pad as chart plotter with Navionics and Lowrance apps. Soon buying more navigation gear.
